About Me
I believe most people have the ability to overcome their obstacles; however, certain challenges warrant the assistance of a professional counselor. I establish a trusting, professional, therapeutic relationship, which promotes safety
and openness. Like a gardener, which is one of my favorite pastimes, I cultivate care, empower growth, nurture the root, help restore life, and foster an environment for thriving.
I work collaboratively with my clients to promote self-awareness and personal growth. I help clients identify, manage, and improve their thoughts, feelings, and emotions, by integrating approaches in which the client is an active participant. My role is to help
my clients strengthen their confidence, self-esteem, independence, mental health, and capacity to effectively manage and overcome life’s challenges.
Qualifications: I am a Licensed Professional Counselor licensed by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors. I am also a Registered Play Therapist credentialed by the Association of Play Therapy. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology Arts in Psychology (minor in Sociology), and Master of Education in Counseling from the University of North Texas. I earned my Clinical Mental Health certification from Lamar University. I am also a professional school counselor and certified teacher.
